- I completed my first year of law school TWICE! No, I didn’t fail my first time. I finished my first year at New England School of Law in Boston, MA and withdrew. I took a year off because I wasn’t sure if law school was for me and I needed some time to figure out my options. I went back after my year off, but it’s a rule that if you withdraw from school for more than one year, you have to start all over. I knew in my heart this is where I wanted to be, so start all over I did! And I finished this time!
- Spanish is my first language. This may not come as a surprise to many, but it’s true. My mother does not speak English, so I didn’t learn to speak English until I was about five-years-old.
- I’m a semi-professional dancer. Well, more like a has been at this point. I started taking ballet lessons at age two until age seventeen. When I was twenty-four, I auditioned for a local dance team for the NBA D-League and I made it! This was a really fun experience for me, but I only danced for one year before I went back to law school.
- I majored in English and Communications when I was an undergraduate student. I was the entertainment editor for my university’s newspaper, as well as a staff writer prior to that. I applied and interviewed to become the commentary editor, but I was offered the entertainment editor position instead. It was a great fit!
- I worked for Red Bull for two years while I was in college. It was the most fun job I’ve ever had, period! I’m still extremely good friends with most of the girls I worked with and Red Bull truly brought us together.
